Issue a credit invoice/credit note to resolve an incorrect customer invoice.
If you sent an incorrect invoice, you can quickly resolve the transaction by issuing a credit note and sending a corrected invoice to your customer.
- Locate the incorrect invoice by logging in and navigating to Sales/Invoices in the main menu. Use the search bar to find the specific invoice.
- Open the incorrect invoice to issue a credit note. Click Create credit note. The system will automatically generate a draft. Review the draft and click Send invoice at the bottom right. The credit note will cancel out the incorrect invoice.
- Create and send a new, correct invoice.
