How do I view, create, and send delivery messages (despatch advice)?

Delivery messages can be created and sent based on specific orders. In the Peppol network, they are called Despatch Advice.

Despatch advices can be created from exisiting sales orders. You can view prevously created despatch messages by navigating to Orders in the sidebar navigation and click Despatch advice in the tab bar menu.

It is possible to send multiple despatches from one sales order. If there are outstanding items to be despatched you can repeat the messaging procedure multiple times by only despatching specific line items.

1. Go Orders under the Sales section in the left-hand menu.

2. Click and view the original sales order you wish to create and send despatch advice.

3. Click Process in the top right corner of the order view and select Despatch order.

4. Add information to the despatch advice and edit the despatch line items in the despatch advice view.

5. The following information can be added:

  • General information
  • Despatching party
  • Consignee information
  • Despatch note
  • Shipment information
  • Delivery information
  • Attachments (URL only)
  • Buyer information
  • Seller information
  • Originator customer party

6. It is possible to edit despatch lines. For example, the despatched quantity. Further information can be added to a despatch line, including:

  • Despatch line note
  • Shipment information
  • Outstanding quantity reason

7. When the despatch message is done, click Send Despatch advice.
